1. This cannot be stressed enough-- no drama llama. Seriously. When you app and get accepted, you have become one with the dysfunctional family of Hetalians. No mater what goes on in the role play, please be civil with everyone outside of it. As I said, we are dysfunctional, therefore you don’t have to like everyone. But does not mean you can treat them like how France and England treat each other. No. You are all better than that. If there are problems with a fellow role player, please talk to the mods about it. Or we will have to eat you. Or give you a stinky boot.
2. Please be nice – this is quite redundant, given rule number one, but we can’t stress it enough; just because your characters hate each other in character does not mean the roleplayers should hate each other as well. You may find friends here, or you may find enemies, but in either case it is possible to be civilized, so please keep that in mind.
3. Try to stay in-character – sure, you can go a little crazy sometimes, but keep in mind the limits of the character you are voicing. Think of how they react to a situation, as crazy as it may be. Something funny a little once in a while is good for laughs, but too much can turn somewhat irritating for everyone else.
4. In accordance to the previous rule, please keep in-character interactions and ((out of character interactions)) separated somehow.
5. You don’t have to write a novel, but please, if someone writes a paragraph for you, it would be nice if you could write about as much in return – there is a lot you can mention, from small gestures, to feelings and your own characters’ musings! The environment, the people around them... Basically, please try to write a few sentences – it doesn’t have to be a lot, just... Keep the one-liners away.
6. Please try to post at least once every ten days. There will be activity checks – the mods are quite lenient about this; everyone is busy at times. But if that is the case, please post a hiatus. If you just disappear, your character will eventually be put up for adoption again.
7. Do not, under any circumstance, godmod. We aren’t even joking here; alright, of course a slap or a shoe to the face are things you can do and get away with – as long as you don’t mind others defending themselves when they get the chance. But don’t even think about shaving the eyebrow monster’s eyebrows in his sleep. Or they will just magically grow back and we will act as if nothing ever happened - and you will probably be warned. If you keep it up, we may have to be stricter.
8. Mind your manners or one of the mods might have to wash your mouth with soap; some characters have a potty mouth but please don’t go overboard. Some things are offensive and you know it.
9. If things become explicit (and by this we do not mean just intimacy – discussions, acts of violence, et cetera), please mark the topic as rated m for mature. We don’t want anyone reading something they would have otherwise preferred to not stumble upon.
10. If you need anything, remember you can always ask for help! If you are unsure about something, don’t be scared to reach out! Like they (who are “they”, anyway?) say, it is better to be safe than sorry.
Remember that the mods will probably skin you alive and eat you if you insist on breaking the rules. And by that we mean you'll get the boot.
